TROPARION OF ALL SAINTS

"Throughout the world Thy Church,
O Lord,
Is adorned with the blood of Thy Martyrs,
As with purple and fine linen;
Through them, She cries unto Thee,
O Christ:
Send down Thy bounties upon Thy people;
Grant peace to Thine estate,
And upon our souls the great mercy."

ALL ARE WELCOME

Father Elias Boulos, pastor of St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church of Kansas City, Kansas,
was appointed Dean of the Kansas Deanery by His Grace Bishop Basil Essey, before the Bishop retired in October 2022.
In this position, he is now our spiritual father and presiding priest over All Saints Orthodox Church.
Fr. Elias met with the All Saints parish and parish council Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, to discuss our future plans.
He intends to be with us about once per month, and will arrange for other priests to come to All Saints
to serve Great Vespers and Orthros-Divine Liturgy. (WATCH FOR SCHEDULE UPDATES, BELOW.)

During our parish council meeting on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, Fr. Elias gave us a directive.
He wants our All Saints parish members to attend Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Christian Church
at 116 N. Washington St. in Hillsboro, KS, 53 miles south and east from All Saints Orthodox Church.
on those Saturdays or Sundays when they have a priest scheduled to serve Divine Liturgy.

And on those weekends, except when we also have a priest, we will not have services at All Saints,
per Fr. Elias, in order to encourage our attendance in Hillsboro.
Fr.Elias is the one who arranges for a priest to serve at All Saints or at Holy Transfiguration,
so he will inform us when a priest has been scheduled at each parish.
THOSE DATES WHEN WE ARE TO GO TO HILLSBORO WILL BE SHARED IN THE SCHEDULE BELOW.

# # #
Saturday or Sunday, depending on which day we have our weekend service,
during the school year we will have "Sunday School" for young children following Coffee Hour.

All Saints parishioners are encouraged to be faithful in their giving, in person or via postal mail delivery or direct deposit. A special Priest Fund has been established for separate donations, in addition to giving to the General Fund, to allow us to save for the day when we can pay for a full-time priest. ABOUT OUR PARISH
All Saints Orthodox Christian Church is a parish part of the Diocese of Wichita and Mid-America, part of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America (AOCANA), under His Eminence, the Most Reverend Saba Esper, Archbishop of New York and Metropolitan of the AOCANA. Our Patriarch is His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of the Holy City of Antioch and all the East., whose see (or ecclesiastical office) is based in Damascus, Syria.

After meeting together starting in 1993, All Saints Orthodox Church of Salina was founded in 1994 by a vibrant group of faithful followers of Christ from an area Episcopal church who were seeking the fullness of the apostolic faith under the pastoral guidance of Fr. Chad Hatfield and Fr. Thomas Neustrom.

At the start, our then bishop, Bishop Basil (now retired), said we should be named All Saints because we will need the prayers of all of the saints to survive as a parish.
Nearly 30 years later, our parish family continues to serve as the spiritual home for Orthodox Christians from Salina and the surrounding area, and communities up to two or more hours drive away.
We are under the authority of the Diocese of Wichita and Mid-America in the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. After gaining approval on Oct. 18, 2022, on Nov. 1, 2022, Bishop Basil Essey officially retired. We are waiting for a new Bishop to be chosen for the diocese.

Our family-friendly parish is guided by our presiding priest and spiritual father, Fr. Elias Boulos of St. Basil the Great Orthodox Christian Church in Kansas City, Kansas. All are welcome!
The Church of Antioch was established by the Apostles Paul and Barnabas in 42 A.D., with St. Peter serving for the next eight years as its first prelate.
The Church of Antioch is one of the five ancient Patriarchates of the Christian Church, along with Alexandria, Constantinople, Jerusalem, and Rome.
We are in full communion with our brothers and sisters in various other Orthodox Christian jurisdictions, such as the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and the Orthodox Church in America.
Together, we are working to nurture the Orthodox Christians of this land and to bring America to the ancient Orthodox Christian Faith.
